Sara and Joey met through mutual friends, but remained friends for a few years before their love story began. Joey remembers once telling a friend before they started dating, that one day he was going to marry Sara. Little did either of them know how true that would be! Fast forward to when the stars aligned and the two began their relationship as a couple. After dating for some time Joey popped the question, and of course Sara said 'Yes!’
How We Met
I was originally introduced to Sara as a bridesmaid in one of my weddings. She was also the sister of the groom, and Joey happened to be one of his groomsmen. I continued to cross paths with Sara over the years, either as a guest or bridesmaid in my weddings. When I received the email announcing their engagement I couldn't be happier for the two of them!
The Engagement Session
This past weekend I met Sara and Joey downtown bright and early for their sunrise engagement session. After a long period of rainy weather, we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful morning with clear skies. We started on the foot bridge at Brown's Island, then headed over to Belle Isle for some photos on the river rocks. We had so much fun in one of Richmond's most scenic and historic landmarks.
I can't wait for their wedding this Fall at the John Marshall Hotel and Ballrooms. Enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement portraits!
